The Wildwood Tarot: Wherein Wisdom Resides - 78 Card Tarot Deck with 160 page Companion Book

Look to the heart of a primeval forest where deep ancestral wisdom lies to help make sense of your world today. Based on seasonal rhythms and ancient festivals, The Wildwood Tarot gift set draws inspiration from pre-Celtic mythology and shamanic mysteries. This stunning new tarot card deck introduces us to classic forest archetypes--including the Green Man and Woman, Archer, and Blasted Oak--and explains how to use them as a meditation system, divinatory oracle, or reference. Will Worthington's powerful pagan images connect us with a long-lost world that can help us make sense of our own? Step back in time, and you'll better understand where your life's path may lead.

It contains 78 full-color, spectacularly illustrated Wildwood Tarot cards and a 160-page guidebook.

💜My review of the deck💜
(This is my assessment of this deck, which happens to be one of my favorites.)

🔮Part One "Intro to the Green" includes a introduction by Mark Ryan.  In this introduction, Mark gives an overview of his history and experience with the tarot.  Gives some practical wisdom on sitting with and reading the cards, how to use the book with the cards, and associations with the Wheel of the Year.

🔮The guidebook alone in this deck is incredibly valuable and informative.  An entire section in the back of the guidebook is on navigating the deck itself and tarot spreads.  You can tell that this deck was created with intention and created as a tool to teach and share wisdom.  Which is why I feel this deck is so special.

🔮The cards are based on the 78-card Rider-Waite structure; however, they depict and are associated with Celtic, pagan, and earthly themes.  The names of the Major and Minor arcana are based on this.  For example:

🖤The Minor Arcana🖤
🩵Suit of Arrows is Air; in Rider-Waite, it is the suit of Swords.
❤️Suit of Bows is Fire, in Rider-Waite it is the suit of Wands.
💙Suit of Vessels is Water; in Rider-Waite, it is the suite of Cups.
💚Suit of Stones is Earth, in Rider-Waite it is the suite of Pentacles.
