Matt Hughes drew on the Art Nouveau movement for this deck, borrowing its flowing style and meticulous craft. Every image is hand-drawn and colored, then illuminated with gold foil stamping for an elegant shine.
The deck follows the Rider-Waite structure, and Hughes added two extra Major Arcana cards, The Well and The Artist, for 80 cards in all. The expanded 140-page guidebook is in full color. Hughes is a self-taught artist inspired by the Golden Age of Illustration, blending Art Nouveau, Pre-Raphaelite and Symbolist influences into a style all his own.
